Product Overview
LaCie has redefined a proven design with the new d2. Featuring Thunderbolt 2,
USB 3.0, and a professional Seagate 6 TB 7200 RPM hard disk, the LaCie d2
delivers superb performance for heavy data users. It’s even possible to boost
speeds to up to 1150 MB/s and add 128 GB of SSD storage by installing the LaCie
d2 SSD Upgrade (sold separately). Additionally, the LaCie d2 features an
innovative all-aluminum unibody enclosure for incredible durability and low
vibration.

  • Audio Mixing: Make the LaCie d2 Thunderbolt 2 the ultimate solution for audio projects by installing the d2 SSD Upgrade. SSD speed lets pros mix hundreds of audio tracks simultaneously, and large hard disk capacity lets them store final projects.
  • Video Editing: The LaCie d2 with the d2 SSD Upgrade installed provides enough bandwidth to edit GoPro® footage with zero lag, and the hard disk capacity lets them archive footage and final projects.
  • Fast Project Copying: Move files incredibly quickly from the LaCie d2’s SSD to a LaCie Rugged Thunderbolt SSD, reducing the time needed to deliver projects to clients. Then, free up the LaCie d2’s SSD space by moving the completed project to the LaCie d2’s hard drive as a background task.
