Intel 760p Overview
Designed to manage demanding consumer client applications and handle intense multitasking, the 256GB 760p M.2 Internal SSD from Intel delivers improved performance with less power consumption when compared to the previous generation 600p Series. This SSD has a capacity of up to 256GB, is equipped with an NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 interface, and an M.2 2280 (80mm) form factor, which allows it to be used in compatible desktops and notebook systems. In terms of speed, this drive offers sequential write speeds of up to 1315 MB/s, sequential read speeds of up to 3210 MB/s, random writes of up to 265,000 IOPS and random reads of up to 205,000 IOPS. Also employed is 3D2 TLC lithography, 1.6 million hours mean time between failures (MTBF), an endurance rating (lifetime writes) of 144 TBW, AES 256-bit hardware encryption, an uncorrectable bit error rate of <1 sector per 1015 bits read, and more.
With solid-state drive technology, you benefit from load and access times for your files and programs that are faster than a conventional 7200 rpm hard drive. As SSDs have no moving parts, they are also more durable than traditional hard drives and are better protected against damage from drops and bumps. Performance at Low Power The 760p Series SSD provided extended battery life through low power modes. It reduces idle consumption when compared to traditional hard disk drives, reducing power consumption from watts to milliwatts. When coupled with an 8th generation Intel Core processor-based platform, the power mode settings help to reduce active and idle power consumption when compared to the 600p Series SSDs.
